Tournament in light rain. |
A surf fishing tournament for boys and girls fifteen and under. The emphasis of this tournament is on fun and education, not
competition. This is a
great opportunity to learn about surf fishing from real experts and
enjoy a family outing. Entrants receive one free meal* at “
Flynnies by the
Beach” restaurant. You will also get information, bait** ,
and instruction
on various fish.

All
2007 entries must be postmarked by May 30th. You must pre-register
to compete.
All registrations must be mailed.
Please do not give registrations to any club members, they will not be
accepted. Please contact Joe Woitkowski with any
questions.

Tournament Rules
Children must provide rod & reel, hooks, only one
rod per entrant. The club will supply the bait, using any other bait
will void a landed fish. Adults are allowed to bait
hooks, cast, and verbally coach their junior angler BUT the junior
angler must reel the fish to the beach . The fish must
be unhooked and measured
immediately when caught and checked by a tournament official (officials
will be wearing an orange vest ) . Stripers and
bluefish will preside over other species
caught. The fish will be measured from tip of the head to the fork of
the tail. Skate will be measured for
body length only, and will only count after any stripers or
bluefish have placed. To avoid a tie, the time will be recorded with
measured fish. All juniors must be accompanied
by a guardian or adult. |
* Choice of one : hamburger, cheese burger, or
hot dog, (chips , milk or soda ).
** The club will supply bait to keep the fishing fair as possible,
please do not bring bait
